Making available on the market
A product is made available on the market when supplied for distribution, consumption or its intended resp. foreseeable use on the EU market in a business-related context (i.e. no charities, hobbyists, etc.), whether in return for payment or free of charge.
A product can be made available several times, e.g. if handed over between several distributors.
Making available a product supposes an offer or agreement (written or verbal) between two or more legal or natural persons for the transfer of ownership, possession or any other right concerning the product after manufacture. This means that the product is intended to be placed at the disposal of another legal or natural person. The transfer does not necessarily require the physical handover of the product.
