The product information sheet

The new legislation brings new changes to the product fiche. Among other things, the name 'Product Fiche' is changed to 'Product Information Sheet'. Read more about this and other changes below.

For the product information sheet, formerly known as the "product fiche," new parameters have been introduced, while others have been omitted.

Change of name from "Product Fiche" to "Product Information Sheet"

This change is important for your customers (the dealers), so it's crucial that you guide them correctly.

The new energy label regulation requires your customers to display the product information sheet in cases of distance selling over the internet.

This means your customers must show the product information sheet in their online stores, near the price of the product if the price is displayed, and in all other cases, near the name or image of the product. The product information sheet can be shown using a nested display or by linking to the product database. In such cases, the link used to access the product information sheet must clearly and legibly indicate "Product Information Sheet."

If your customers uses the term "Product fiche" after the 1st of July 2025 on their web-site, it may result in fines during potential market surveillance inspections.

The following table shows the specific requirements for both the current and the new regulations regarding the content of the product fiche and the product information sheet.
